Hate Story 3 Movie Review

<i>Hate Story 3</i> Movie Review
Genre:
Thriller
Cast:
Sharman Joshi, Zarine Khan, Daisy Shah and Karan Singh Grover
Director:
Vishal Pandya

SPOILERS AHEAD

There is absolutely nothing to fall in love with in Hate Story 3. It is the tale of two very, very crabby men who hate each other with all their guts and hatch silly conspiracies.

The whys and wherefores of their actions and utterances are shrouded in mystery until the very end of the film, by which time it ceases to matter who wins and who loses.

The girls, apart from all the hip-wiggling, bosom-heaving and midriff-flashing that constitute standard fare in such cinematic piffle, play second fiddle.

The two women in the plot get pushed around like powerless pawns on a chessboard that has no queens, black or white.

Bajirao Mastani new poster: Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone encapsulate love in its purest form!

Can’t get enough of your chemistry, Ranveer and Deepika!

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus, Bajirao Mastani has really lived upto its tag as you can see so much grandeur in the poster! While Bajirao, Ranveer Singh, looks royal and splendid in his Peshwa avatar, Deepika’s scintillating Mastani ensemble definitely deserves all the praises! The movie has been caught up in serious controversies regarding the plot and the picturisation of the life and love story of Peshwa Bajirao and Mastani by the descendents of the Peshwa. But looks like that won’t stop the film from leaving a mark in the Bollywood history with its larger than life feel!

Romantic? It’s an understatement to how magnanimous their chemistry is and the romance is literally oozing out of the poster. Not to forget the beautiful and ethnic feel of it! With the water splashing from behind as they stand of a fountain (I’m guessing) and lotus in the pond, the poster sure is giving us a sneak peek on how colourful and glamorous the film’s experience is going to be! But yeah, one thing that still makes me wonder is why the name of Bajirao is stained in blood, or so I assume, whereas Mastani is not.

Well, why do you think has the team coloured the name of the film in such a way? Let us know in the comments section below! Oh and also, do tell us what you think of it!

Why the Tamil dub of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo suffered at the box office

Tamil Nadu is one of the biggest dubbing markets for Hollywood films in India. Hollywood studios hit a goldmine in the 1990s when English action-packed extravaganzas, dubbed into Tamil, became box-office hits. Soon Bollywood too tried to enter this market.

Some years back Rajshri Pictures dubbed a few of their hit films into Tamil, but it did not work. Soon after, Subash Ghai dubbed his Taal into Tamil, riding on AR Rahman’s local connect. However, the market received a big boost only when Hrithik Roshan’s Krissh 3 and Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3, which were dubbed into Tamil, went on to succeed at the box-office.

The normal Hindi film is watched only in the Chennai multiplexes, its suburbs and Coimbatore. The growth of the IT, auto industry, and the rise of migrant workers from Bihar and UP in mainly the real estate construction business, has given a big boost to Hindi films in Tamil Nadu. Thanks to social media, Hindi cinema has become popular with the city based Tamil youth.

Hum Paanch cast: Then and now

01. Saas-bahu sagas and reality shows rule the idiot box these days. But there was a time when the entire family used to sit together and enjoy TV shows. Some of them went onto gain cult status and few made it to the list of the most memorable shows of all times. Hum Paanch used to be one such show. Indian audience was in love with the entire Mathur family and audience could relate to each character in the show. Even after almost two decades, Hum Paanch remains the most loved show of all times. We take a look at the cast of Hum Paanch, then and now.

02. Ashok Saraf as Anand Mathur: Ashok Saraf aka Anand Mathur is hands down the cutest dad ever. He has been a part of the industry for over 45 years. But his role as the father of five daughters was the most loved character ever. He has actively been involved in Marathi film industry. Ashok Saraf was last seen in Ajay Devgn starrer Singham.

03. Shoma Anand as Bina Mathur: Wife of a confused husband and mother of five crazy daughters, Shoma Anand played an over- dramatic housewife in Hum Paanch. Just like other characters of the show, she too became the darling of Indian television. After Hum Paanch, Shoma played many roles in Indian TV shows. She also tried her hands at drama and negative roles.

04. Vandana Pathak as Meenakshi: Even when the wave of feminism had not truly hit Indian culture, Vandana Pathak stood up for women's rights and empowerment with herbelan in Hum Paanch. Her fierce yet different character touched many hearts. After Hum Paanch, she was bombarded with offers from Gujarati film industry and Hindi television industry. She also starred in Supriya Pathak starrer Khichdi and won rave reviews for her role.

05. Amita Nangia as Radhika: Mr Mathur's second daughter, Radhika was nerdy and annoying. Amita Nangia looked absolutely convincing in this role. She later bagged many Bollywood films too, like Ajnabee, Deewanapan, Khatta Meetha etc.

Vidya Balan as Radhika: Before emerging as Bollywood's new 'Khan', Vidya Balan stole hearts with her performance as Radhika in Hum Paanch.

After Hum Paanch, Bhairavi was also seen in shows like - Astitva: Ek Prem Kahaniand Sasural Genda Phool. Her role as Bhagwati Khajaan Singh was quite hard-hitting.

08. Priyanka Mehra as Choti: Youngest daughter of the Mathur family, Choti is not chotianymore. Now, Priyanka Mehra is no more close to her previous chubbier self. Priyanka has worked for a very popular magazine and is also involved in production now.

They are one of the most loved pair and the audience is waiting with baited breath to see them sizle on the big screen once again! The third song from the much awaited film Tamasha, titled Agar Tum Saath Ho released online recently and has been gaining tremendous response ever since. Tamasha song Agar Tum Saath Ho is a break up song with a high on emotion screenplay which made filming for the same tough for Ranbir-Deepika. The song in question is a break up number which is played in a pivotal scene from the film. It was exceptionally challenging for the films lead pair, Ranbir-Deepika to deliver the high level of intensity demanded by the song.

Deepika is seen sobbing in the very beginning of the video, while Ranbir appears non responsive to her. The filming, which lasted for 3 days, left the duo mentally exhausted and low. Its video which portrays a phase of heartbreak has generated relatability with the audiences as both Ranbir and Deepika have emoted wonderfully.Alka Yagnik provides the much needed depth to the screenplay with her soulful voice.

A.R Rahman’s vision combined with Imtiaz Ali’s direction has taken the song to another level, making it an instant favourite amidst the audiences.

Tamasha being one of the most awaited films of the year showcases the most loved pair Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, who were last seen together in 2013, coming together on the silver screen on the 27th of November. Presented by UTV Motion pictures and Nadiawala Grandson Entertainment,Tamasha is directed by Imtiaz Ali and produced by Sajid Nadiawala.

Abhishek Kapoor to get story credit for ‘Rock On!! 2’

Abhishek Kapoor

The producers of Rock On!! 2 have finally agreed on giving credit to Abhishek Kapoor as a co-writer of the film's story.

Abhishek had moved the Bombay High Court against film writer Pubali Chaudhuri and Farhan Akhtar claiming joint credit for the story of the sequel to 2008 film, Rock On!!, which he had written and directed himself. Akhtar's counsel, Virendra Tulzapurkar argued at length that Kapoor had no legal or contractual right to back his claim. But after Justice Gautam Patel, who heard the matter, suggested that Kapoor be given his due credit, the producer agreed to give him joint opening credit as the writer of the story of Rock On!! 2. The screenplay credit will only be that of Pubali Chaudhuri. The High Court then passed the order by consent of both the sides.

Shaandaar Movie Review

CRITIC'S RATING:
2.0/5

CAST:

DIRECTION:
Vikas Bahl

GENRE:
Romance

DURATION:
2 hours 25 minutes

SHAANDAAR IS SOULLESS; IT MAY WANT TO MAKE YOU SCREAM

STORY: A Punjabi girl and a Sindhi groom are to have a destination wedding in Britain. Simultaneously, the bride's sister also gets romantically entangled with the wedding planner.

REVIEW: Shaandaar has a fun plot. However in his attempt to spoof destination weddings of the bankrupt and the famous, Vikas Bahl, (who also directed that gem, Queen) forgot to take a script along.

You can defend the director's indulgence or even forgive him for borrowing Tarantino's Kill-Bill, part-animation, part-live narrative style to tell you the tale of an orphan girl who is given shelter by an affluent businessman, Bipin (Pankaj Kapur). The tycoon's harridan mum (Sushma Seth) and ambitious wife (Nikki Aneja) do not take a shine to the child. Even worse, the bechari anath is an insomniac. The story-telling attempt is wearisome. Years later, Bipin's belligerent mother decides to get his daughter, Isha (Sanah Kapur) married into a rich Sindhi family called Fundwanis (howlarious!). This 'deal' has to go through or they will remain cash-strapped for life. Everyone is scared shit of 'mummyji'' so they abide by what she says.

Talvar review: Despite its flaws, the Irrfan-Konkona starrer is a brave film that devastates

Talvar movie review: The film is as real as a constructed-for-the-camera document can be, with its portrayal of the professional rivalries between the investigating teams, and insatiable media persons.

Talvar movie review: It is a difficult film to watch because we know all along that we are not in some fictitious la-la land; we are in Noida, where the killings took place, and the events that unfold have a distinct ring of reality.

In ‘Talvar’, the 14-year-old girl killed in her bed in the dead of night, is called Shruti Tandon. But we know that it is the thinly-disguised story of Arushi Talwar, whose murder still remains the foulest of them all: her parents Rajesh and Nupur, both doctors with a flourishing practice, were convicted and sent to jail.

he lord of the new beginnings will soon arrive with much grandeur and fanfare and this time he will don every possible contemporary theme. As the country prepares to get into the mood to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi, the streets are abuzz with the different types of idols that you might see this season.

From Mumbai's iconic Lalbaugcha Raja statue to the tallest-ever Ganesh statue being made in Vijayawada, the frenzy in the country over the festival is making sure that there are Ganesh idols and statues of all kinds. In the past, we have already seen World Cup Ganesha, Anna Hazare Ganesha and even the travel Ganesha. But when we say all kinds, we include those which you have never imagined before.

Here are some of the most unique Ganesh idols which will make this Ganesh Chaturthi innovative:

If there is one picture to explain the meaning of the word 'frenzy', it is this picture. You know that the country's obsession with selfies has gone a tad bit too far when you find people making idols of Lord Ganesh taking a selfie of him with his family members. Don't be surprised tomorrow if you suddenly come across a Ganesh statue in which the God is making a duck-face.

Films have always been an important part of India. But nothing proves it as much as this image.

Gauhar Khan and Kushal Tondon were very open about their feelings during season 7 of Bigg Boss.

Bigg Boss has been a controversial show but it has also played cupid to many-a couples. Love is as much a part of the show as fights and mind games.

There has always been at least one couple that helps increase the heat in the house and also the TRPs of the controversial reality show.

And while we wait for more controversial love stories in the next season, here are 10 couples that met on the show and let love fly. While they might not have continued their relationship long after the show, they certainly did entertain us.

Veena Mallik and Ashmit Patel

Who can forget the chemistry between season 4 contestants Veena Mallik and Ashmit Patel. This couple got all touchy-feely during the show, so much that the show host Salman Khan had to remind them that it is a family show. Well, they are not together anymore and Veena is now married to an Arab businessman.

Sara Khan and Ali Merchant

This couple literally got married on the show. Ali Merchant came into the house so that they could get married, sounds romantic, but the marriage did not even last for two months. Later, Ali Merchant also said the whole wedding thing was a publicity stunt and both were paid Rs 50 lakh to do it.

Gauhar Khan and Kushal Tondon

Gauhar Khan and Kushal Tondon were very open about their feelings during season 7. There was even a controversial 'going to the bathroom together' episode. Kushal even proposed to Gauhar saying he wants to grow old with her. They fought, they loved, and she won. Then later, they officially announced their break up few months after the show.

Tanisha Mukherji and Armaan Kohli

There was so much drama about their relationship in season 7. Well, it definitely added spice to the show. They were even seen kissing. Rumors were that Tanisha's sister Kajol and mother Tanuja were not happy with their relationship. Armaan and Tanisha ended things after the show and Tanisha said Armaan was very different from her and their ideologies were different. Well, honestly, that was pretty clear on the show too.

Upen Patel and Karishma Tanna

Upen and Karishma were each other's anti initially in season 8 but things changed later and they got intimate on the show. After Bigg Boss, they were seen on another dance reality show as a couple and even got engaged on that show. They apparently are still together.

Well, who would forget the controversial kiss of Diandra Soares and Gautam Gulati in season 9. Diandra even dragged Gautam to the bathroom to give him a 'special gift'. Diandra was later taken out of the show due to health reasons. Rumors were that Diandra got pregnant during the show. Gautam Gulati won the show and said he regrets going to the bathroom with Diandra and he kissed her because it would be rude and embarrassing for the girl if he wouldn't. Strange reason Gautam!
