1. AK Hangal
Late Bollywood actor AK Hangal, known for his work in "Namak Haram", "Sholay" had gone bankrupt when he was 95 years old. The actor found it difficult to meet his medical expenses but celebs like Jaya Bachchan and Salman Khan came to the rescue and helped him pay his dues.
2. Amitabh Bachchan
Big B faced financial issues when his company 'ABCL' was declared bankrupt. Apparently, there was a debt of over Rs 90 crore. The actor had even mortgaged his house, but the offer of hosting 'Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC)' saved the situation for him.
3. Govinda
After his career in Bollywood, followed by politics, there came a point in Bollywood actor Govinda's life, when he went bankrupt. Starting his film career again with 'Partner', Govinda managed to clear all his debts.
4. Jackie Shroff
Once Jackie Shroff loaned money from filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala, but was unable to pay him back in 2008 that time he suffered from bankruptcy. Sajid wanted to resolve the issue through legal action, but apparently, it was Salman Khan who intervened in the matter and helped Jackie repay his debts.
5. Preity Zinta
After the production of house's maiden film 'Ishkq In Paris', talked started that Preity Zinta was suffering from financial crisis. Reports say, Abbas Tyrewala, who was the dialogue writer of 'Ishkq In Paris', had filed a case against the actress regarding non-payment of dues. A cheque worth Rs. 18.9 lakh had also bounced. Preity had even confessed that Salman Khan offered to help. However now she is doing really well and co-owns an IPL team. 6. Raj Kapoor
We know him as the Showman of the Indian film industry. But he too has seen tiring times. Raj Kapoor's legendary film 'Mera Naam Joker' tanked at the box office leaving him almost bankrupt.
7. Abhay Deol
Actor Abhay Deol went bankrupt and had to sell his house to repay the loan he had taken from his home production "One By Two".
8. Shilpa Shetty
Shilpa Shetty admitted to media that she was running short of money. This would keep her from making a video for her IPL team, Rajasthan Royals, as she was apparently "extremely poor". She had even confessed that they were trying to save money.
