Kuch Kuch Hota Hai to be screened at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne




Karan Johar recently completed two glorious decades in the Hindi film industry and now the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne is all set to celebrate the milestone. The festival is going to host a special screening of Karan Johar’s debut film, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998) on August 10 at HOYTS central with his attendance. Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji starrer Kuch Kuch Hota Hai has given two memorable characters Rahul and Anjali to the audience. This film made Karan Johar a household name and post that there was no looking back for the filmmaker. 





Karan will be flying down to the cultural melting pot to be part of the celebration of Indian cinema amidst the celebrations of his two decades in the film business. Talking about it, Karan Johar said, “I’m excited to be celebrating this landmark year in my professional life at IFFM. It’s been a very rewarding 20 years of a journey and time well spent telling stories and having the freedom to be a storyteller. Filmmaking is my passion and the deep-rooted love I have for cinema and being here in this time to be completing two whole decades is very gratifying. I have been to the festival before and I have loved being there. I’m looking forward to another opportunity to celebrate Indian cinema in the land down under.”
