Shweta Tripathi To Wed Actor Rapper Slow Cheeta On June 29 In Goa

Shweta Tripathi, best known for her performances in Masaan and Haraamkhor, is all set to tie the knot with her beau, actor-rapper, Chaitanya Sharma aka Slow Cheeta on June 29. The duo reportedly met on a flight, which fueled a conversation and the rest you know is history. Slow Cheeta, as he prefers to call himself, is reportedly five years younger than the talented actress but, who then again, who can say that Shweta is 32. The actress quips that she looks way younger than that.

During a conversation with IANS, the actress revealed, “We met because both of us were stepping in for other actors. So, from Bombay (Mumbai), we met in Delhi to perform and hardly spoke throughout. On our way back, we were seated next to each other. It was a 5 a.m. flight, so obviously the plan was to doze off. But we started talking and that was that.” Now isn’t that cute? Chaitanya proposed at a place called Cuckoo Club, which is a common place for performances in the city. Incidentally, they both share a common love for theatre. He said, “He wanted to do it on stage because that’s how we met — for a play. He had told me he has a new play, so I went to see that… But it was the proposal.”

Chaitanya, who reportedly has a tattoo of Shweta’s name delivered a monologue in front of a room filled with theatre enthusiasts about the journey that led to the new journey that they’re about to take ahead. “They say you fall in love, and I fell hard, from about 36,000 feet! Up in the air, into her heart and she already had mine. Relations start from the ground upwards, mine started in the sky. We spoke about whales and the ocean and everything we know. She found me, and I found Nemo,” he said, adding that the wedding is expected to take place in Goa with only their closest friends and family in attendance.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Shweta is gearing up for her upcoming project , which is the web series titled Mirzapur, apart from other feature films like Gone Kesh and Cargo. On the other hand, Chaitanya’s latest song, “Kripya dhyaan de” from the film “High Jack” was launched last week. He was also one of the four rappers to have collaborated with Bollywood star Ranveer Singh for a single. This apart, he has two songs — one with Papon — for the feature film “Karwaan”.
