The wait is over for all the fans and well-wishers of the adorable couple from the Indian television world! Well, we are talking about the much-awaited wedding of popular television actors, Karan Patel and Ankita Bhargava. The two got married in a grand Gujarati style on May 3, 2015. With elaborate ceremonies and functions, the star-studded wedding celebrations of the duo kept the telly world quite too busy over the weekend.
And, for all the fans of this gorgeous couple, here we bring the exclusive details of their beautiful wedding journey.
Coincidentally, Karan already plays the role of Abhay Bhargava’s (Ankita’s father) on-screen son-in-law in the show, Ye Hai Mohabbatein. And, many people expected her father to have made this match possible.
However, it was Karan’s another co-star from the same show, Aly Goni, who played cupid between the two.
In fact, when Karan was asked during one of his interviews if his reel-life father-in-law was the matchmaker, he replied:
“Not really. I have worked with Abhayji for a long time, but never thought that I would marry his daughter. Aly (Goni), my brother, confidante, friend and co-actor, brought the two families together. Our families arranged this match. I am happy that I have finally found my soul mate because I am already thinking of reasons to make her smile.”
And, in one of her interviews, Ankita too talked about how unexpected was it for her to be with Karan. She said:
“Karan is a beautiful person, and all this while, I had never met him at any party or even spoken with him often. Dad used to mention about his acting and work regularly at home, but I never thought that we would come together.”
Ankita’s father, Abhay Bhargava too expressed his happiness as he said during one of his interviews:
“Karan Patel is a great human being. I always wanted my son-in-law as Karan Patel and here my dream is being fulfilled. On screen, I play a role of a father-in-law to him; and I don’t believe that this reel character has turn into a real life character too.”
