Salman Khan’s Being Human Productions will soon present an off-beat film, Dr. Cabbie, which is being helmed by acclaimed Canadian director Jean-Francois Poulliot.
The film that revolves around the life of an unemployed doctor-turned-cab-driver, boasts of an illustrious cast that includes actors like Vinay Virmani, Adrianne Palicki, Kunal Nayyar (of The Big Bang Theory fame) and Lillete Dubey among others.
Talking about the film,Salman Khan says, “Dr. Cabbie is the story of an Indian immigrant and it has an inherent universal appeal.”
The actor feels that audiences will be able to identify with the film, and has full faith in the cast. Director Jean-Francois also says, “This is a timeless story which is humorous and heart-warming. It blends social issues and the journey to find one’s place in the world”. The film is scheduled to launch later in 2013.

Salman Khan to partner with Govinda once again

Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt's legal battles now in a documentary film
Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan — both embroiled in separate legal battles — will now be the subject of a documentary film. Muazzam Beg, the writer who had written the story on which the 2011 hit Rockstar (2011) was based, will be making a documentary titled Munna Bhai, Sallu Bhai — Killers or Healers.
“Through this film, I will be showing their life journeys. It will include their social, psychological and economical life — from the time and even before they started their career in the industry,” says Muazzam. The self-funded film is being made under the aegis of his new NGO, Indian Film Fraternity.
Salman Khan to fight law makers
Salman Khan’s Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) team, Mumbai Heroes, may have performed dismally in both the seasons of the tournament, but that hasn’t dampened the players’ spirits. Now, in a one-of-its-kind event, the actor’s star-studded brigade will play a friendly match against a team comprising Members of Parliament.
